About The Innkeepers

We have enjoyed 15 years as innkeepers and have learned that a stay on our farm can be a bit more special, because of the little comforts of home that are at your finger tips.  If you visit in the spring, the dog wood trees along with the daffodils that pop up all over the gardens will delight your senses.

The front porch is suited with two lovely antique swings that will cradle your spirit, while enjoying a glass of local wine.  Additional porch rocking chairs are very inviting.
About Mountain Valley Farm

The Grounds

Our lawns are extensive and invite you to walk around the farm to see what you can discover on our 180 acres.  Currently we have 6 head of very friendly horses for you to admire during your visit.

Located in the back yard, is a grand boxwood garden.  There you will find -  a gas grill for your use, a chiminia for cool evenings.  We have provided cut wood for you.  For those of you who are always looking for a way to spend time outdoors, this is a grand spot.

Here you can relax under the shade of  our Virginia berry tree, and enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains, which  is part of our back yard.

Our Inn

The parlor has a television, in the event you want to stay connected with the world news or just listen to your choice of music.  This is provided by Dish Network Satellite.  The gas fire place can take the chill off the room, if you are ready to sit for a spell.

We understand that getting started in the morning means a great cup of coffee or specialty tea is a must. Our kitchen is always open to our guests for coffee and tea.

Our dining room that will seat 12, china and flat ware is available for your use.

Our kitchen is brand new, when we purchased the farm, the farmhouse did not have a kitchen so we added one.

The cozy sun porch looks out on to the veranda and gardens of the side yard and pasture.  There you can read your book or one of ours.  But, stealing a nap, if that sounds like more fun the recliner is calling your name.
